Inside the Disneyland Hotel's Pirates of the Caribbean Suite

Pirates Suite entrance

(This post is part of a series of sneak peeks into the Signature Suites at the Disneyland Hotel.  All five themed suites -- Pirates of the Caribbean SuiteBig Thunder SuiteMickey Mouse Penthouse,
Adventureland Suite, and the Fairy Tale Suite   -- are on the 11th floor of the Dreams Tower.  All except the Fairy Tale Suite  sleep 6, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living and dining area.)

If I had to describe the Pirates of the Caribbean Suite in a single word, I would choose opulent.  The suite is decorated in an Old World Spanish Colonial style, and it looks like exactly the kind of place that Elizabeth Swann's father, Governor Weatherby Swann, would live in. You'll see lots of polished wood, leather, brass, gilt, and brocade.
The place is not meant to be historically accurate, though; the brass doorbell plays "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me", the living room is wired up with the latest in surround sound, and the entry hall is decorated with posters from the 4 Pirates of the Caribbean films.  In fact, you'll find movie memorabilia all over the place, from posters to a replica of the Black Pearl to Jack Sparrow's compass.

The living room has a gilt frame hanging over the fireplace that looks like an oil painting, but it's actually a 42-inch plasma TV.

The wall behind the bar has model ships, decorative tankards, posters of pirates inspired by the movies, and a replica of Jack Sparrow's revolver in a display case.

The master bedroom (or should I say Captain's Quarters) has a four poster canopy bed decorated with red-and-gold fabric and tassels.

The Pirates of the Caribbean Suite is the only one of the suites that has two twin beds in the second bedroom (the other suites have a single queen or king bed).  With the fanciful printed pirate ship bedspreads, this room is clearly meant for kids.

The master bathroom may have a luxury jacuzzi tub and steam shower, but the kids' room has a pirate rubber duck so young scallywags can create their own bubbly battles!

The only thing missing from this suite is Johnny Depp :)

How I love to experience even a night in this kind of suite. It is really cool and looks relaxing. But how much would it cost to experience the luxury of this kind of suite?

we not long ago installed our steam shower unit, the best thing i've invested in for some time,
children and family members like it so much, can not see everyone moving back to common showers ever again
