Yes we did... and I was there


Okay, I wasn't exactly there, but I wanted to snap a photo of myself while Barack Obama was being sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. My nose is swollen and red from all the weeping. I couldn't help it. I was moved. In a way, it reminded me of Manila in 1986 when the people took to the streets because they had had enough and were ready for change. The people of the US are ready for change.

What a good idea ! That will be a nice souvenir for you !
For me it was the first time I watched an American president inauguration. The first one I remember was Kennedy ! I think a lot of Europeans did the same this time !

That was a great idea. Wish I'd thought of doing that. I went the more traditional "save the old newpapers" route.
