This week's Photo Hunters theme is Shoes.
Every time she is invited to a party, The Pea asks me if she can wear these shoes. They were a hand-me-down from a young cousin of mine; I wouldn't have chosen them for her if I had seen them in a store -- they're just too costly and impractical. Call me old-fashioned, but I just think letting a six-year-old totter around in 1.5 inch heels is inappropriate and dangerous. But The Pea adores them - and what girl wouldn't? And I have to admit, they are cute. I'm sure Minnie Mouse would agree with me too.

my daughter has a pair similar to these and she calls them her princess shoes. She wants to wear them all the time!! Great photo.
Great shoes but I do have to agree with you. I also don't think that letting a young girl wear those or any high heel shoes (for that age) would be good.
But they sure are cute!!!

Yes, definitely not practical for a six-year old to wear high heels. But they sure want to be like Mom. Maybe that's why she wants to wear them.

am so sure they look adorable on The Pea! like you, though, i think kids wearing high-heeled shoes (i.5" is high enough for me, lol) is a no-no. But, i think it's ok for special occasions. :)

Yeah, I wouldn't have chosen it if it were in a store... But kids nowadays have a very interesting fashion sense.

Meenie would love those shoes! As for impractical shoes, yup have those. My In-Laws love buying them impractical shoes. I wish they would by some nice sneakers once in while instead of glitter covered shoes :P

I have to agree with you on all counts. Heels are not appropriate for young kids because it will affect their posture according to my pedia. And dangerous, yes. The shoes though are cute, dainty.
