Dreaming of Newport Beach

If I ever win the lotto, I'm definitely buying a place in Newport Beach. We visited Newport Beach for the first time when dropping Jammy off at UC Irvine, and it has quickly become the seaside town of my dreams.

The houses on Lido Isle and Balboa Island in particular captured my imagination. Picture small (but super expensive and super well done) houses with a back yard that opens up onto a waterway. Each property has their own dock and electric pontoon boat. Residents take their pontoon boats and motor away from this residential area, towards the larger marinas (where they probably own gigantic sailboats or yachts!) and the open sea.

The marinas have lovely restaurants where you can sit outside and feast on fresh fish and chips while enjoying the view.

Check out this insane house decorated from top to bottom with pirates! It's like Newport Beach's very own Pirates of the Caribbean!

With a median home price of  $1,050,000, Newport Beach is one of the most expensive places to live in the US. Little Balboa Island has a median home price of $21,922,085! It's safe to say that we won't be moving to Newport Beach any time soon. But hey, one can dream....
