We tried out our new
Creativity for Kids Pottery Studio yesterday; here is Jammy's work of art. It was supposed to be a teacup, but somewhere along the way the edges grew lopsided and the sides fell flat. Ruined? Not according to him. He set to work embellishing it and turned it into a plate. I guess it will look better once it's painted. But to him -- and to me -- it looks pretty good just the way it is.
For more ruins, click here. And one more thing: Come and stop by my review blog, Bonggamom Finds! I'm giving away fun toys all month long, including a Russ Seapals stuffed toy, I-Dog Clip toy, and more!
LOL! Could be used to hold keys.
ReplyDeleteHappy hunting.
A one-of-a-kind creation. Way to take something "ruined" and turn it into something useful. Fun. Great choice for The Hunt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by BonggaMom!
...and you will have to display it proudly in a prominent place for the rest of your natural life...:-)
ReplyDeleteI love the textures of "ruined". Here's mine:

Have a great weekend!
Oh dear - but waste not, want not... he has the right idea.
ReplyDeleteA new perspective can certainly change what seems to be a ruin into a treasure! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteThat's clever. That's what you call making the most of the situation and even better. :)
ReplyDelete....and years and years down the line, this will be a family treasure more so than today! Trust me!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Native American Sonoran Desert Ruin is posted...come join me, won't you?
Happy Hunting!
That is very resourceful to be able to take what didn't turn out one way and use it for something else!
ReplyDeleteIt's still perfect to me. It makes a wonderful plate! :) Happy Hunting. My Ruined
ReplyDeleteA ruined teacup, but still a treasure for something else. A key or coin holder, could be!
ReplyDeleteI did Photo Hunt today, too. I hope you get a chance to visit and leave your link!

Have a great weekend!
it is perfect, just the way it is, and it will become a family treasure
ReplyDeleteI think whatever children create is perfect and are done fully from the heart!
ReplyDeleteHow creative - you must be very proud that he turned one ruin into something more useful. Many kids would just give up and throw away the unfinished project.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I have never heard of Chi-Chi Cupcake Stores - yikes $3.25 for one cupcake! And I was complaining about $1 for a donut. Now, I know I really am out of touch with reality!
Well, you could use it to hold keys or loose change :) I always treasure every piece of artwork created by my kids.
ReplyDeleteThat is too cute! It will be a great memory!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I like the way your son turned lemons into lemonade!
ReplyDeleteThat's great. With life and art, you just have to make the best of what you got!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely piece of art. I agree with Photo Cache, it would be perfect for holding keys and perhaps some loose change.
ReplyDeleteI remember my first bowl turned out just like that! We stuffed it in a plastic bowl, smoothed it down, and waited (a long time!) until it dried!
