It's amazing how both photos look so similar. If you haven't mentioned that one was taken two years ago, I wouldn't know better. I think the one on the right is the most recent.
Yes, you're both correct of course, her face is a bit bigger on the right and not as chubby. If her smile had been bigger, you would also have seen her missing teeth!
